FAQs
-
"Are you an artist?"
Yes
-
Why so many oceans and skies?
Because they never sit still long enough to get boring.
-
Is it difficult to part with an artwork?
Yes & no. There is so much joy creating art in my art studio in Brookvale Art District - but the joy is amplified - when an artwork resonates with a viewer.
Many of my paintings & drawings are an exploration of the coast, shore line and rockpools of the Northern Beaches - a vast source of natural inspiration - right here on Sydney's door stop, that resonate with lovers of the ocean.
-
Can art really change a room?
Absolutely! Art shifts the feeling of a space before anyone says a word.
-
How to choose the right artwork?
The right piece will speak to you and captivate your senses. The brush strokes will continue to engage and transport you to another time and place, time and time again.
All artworks from my studio are created with high-quality materials ensuring that you can enjoy the artwork for many years.
-
Do you make money from your art?
Um, yes…weird you ask, I don’t ask what you earn!
Supporting local artists right here on Sydney’s Northcrn Beaches can have several benefits, such as cultural enrichment, helping drive the local economy (think local photographers, framers & journos), helping to build community, investing in the future of the arts, and, a personally fulfilling experience as you directly contribute to the well-being of someone in your community, and at the same time you will enjoy an artwork you love in your home for many years, or a rewarding experience gifting art to a loved one.
Hmm. Sure beats an IKEA purchase!

How long does it take to create an artwork?
Good question. And there is no straight forward answer.
I paint in layers that reveal and peek through to engage the viewer, and sometimes they require drying and evolve over time.
Other times mark-making is fluid and creative flows quickly. Sometimes the creative process is a hybrid of the two methods..
What is guarrranteed, I paint from the heart, always.
